• A version is in the format of

MAJOR_VERSION.FEATURE_VERSION,MINOR_VERSION

There is a next major version pointing to a version to release of sister project.
In this case, once sister project released, we are ready as well.

Why do we trigger Jenkins jobs rather than run them as plain scripts?
For security, for build history, and for cron.

When we Cut RC, we run performance tests which cost much. So we run it for the first candidate only.

After Cut RC stable for 3 days, we GA.

After GA, we Prepare Maintenance Updates for week 1, Deploy Maintenance Updates for week 2, Prepare Maintenance Updates for week 3, Deploy Maintenance Updates for week 4 …
