信息流对供应链产业中的物流有很大的影响。材料流动的行为很大程度上受信息在整个组织中顺畅流动的影响。为了提高供应链及信息共享的效率，人们开展了许多实践来实现这一目标。然而，随着企业规模的不断扩大和通信结构的复杂化，传统的通信方式已不能满足需要。另外，大量的时间没有得到合理的利用，浪费了大量的时间，降低了组织效率。

本文的研究目的是探讨物联网的发展，以及物联网的合理利用如何对现代供应链管理产生巨大的影响。这项研究的目的是提供一个理论基础，说明公司如何能够通过物联网在整个组织内以最小的努力更容易地获取信息。本研究要解决的问题有：（1）物联网对现代供应链管理的影响；（2）物联网可能的改进和未来的工作；（3）是否易于使用。在研究文献的基础上，提出了物联网在供应链管理中的应用。应用的目标是在实现灵活性和信息丰富性之间进行匹配。信息共享的目的应该是在做出关键而迅速的决策之前，为上级和管理层提供高质量的情报。为了提高操作的灵活性和工作环境内的速度，必须迅速收集信息。研究结果表明，物质流和信息流之间的湍流流动有多种原因。为响应需求变化而进行的大量计划变更，变更的计划流程会导致在设计一个供应链模型来组织信息流时出现问题。此外，还发现另一个原因是由于数据不足，导致各部门之间无法共享信息。

Information flow has a great influence overthe flow of materials in the supply chain industry. The behavior by which thematerials flow is highly affected by how the information flows throughout theorganization in a smooth manner. To develop the supply chain performance andimprove the efficiency of information sharing a lot of practices have beendeveloped to achieve that target. However nowadays with the expansion ofcompanies and having complicated structures of communication, ordinarypractices cannot suffice any longer. Additionally, a lot of time is notutilized properly wasting a lot of time and lowering the efficiency of theorganization. This research aim is to investigate the development of theinternet of things and how when properly utilized it can make a huge impact onmodern supply chain management. This research aim is to provide a theoreticalbasis on how companies can use internet of things to allow easier access forinformation throughout the organization with minimal effort. The researchquestions to be addressed in this research are (1), What is the impact of theinternet of things on modern supply chain management (2) what are the possibleimprovements and future work that can be done with regards to the internet ofthings (3) is it easy to use. An application of internet of things in thesupply chain management is developed based on literature findings. The applicationsaim is to take place to match between execution flexibility and informationabundance. Information sharing aimed should be providing high qualityinformation for the higher ups and management before making crucial and swiftdecisions. To improve the flexibility of the operations and improve the pacewithin the working environment information must be gathered in a swift manner.It was determined that there are several reasons behind the turbulent flowbetween materials flow and information flow. Numerous plan changes in responseto demand changes, varying planning processes which would subsequently causeproblems when designing a supply chain model to organize the information flow.Moreover, it was also found that another reason was insufficient data whichresulted in the inability of sharing information between various departments.
