A famous saying goes that 'The earth provides enough for everyone's need, but not for everyone's greed'. It is true that the mother earth is overwhelmed by human-beings for more natural resources and modern comforts beyond moderate needs.
The earth retaliates against our greed by air pollution, global warming, natural disasters and ecological balance. For instance, in many cities the air is so bad that citizens wear masks when going out and use air filter at home. what shocks us most is that the air pollution has become the major cause of respiratory diseases. Fortunately, human beings have realized that utmost significance is supported to be attached to the environment protection.
To summarize, It's a matter of life and death for us to take control of our greed, for that the mother earth is the only area that we can live and deserves our protection. Therefore, it's time for sustainable development, and we should spare no efforts to protect the environment well for human of our own and for next generation as well.
