想要得出一个string或list中的unique value及其数量时,collection.Counter()很方便。这里以list为输入作为例子。
import collections
lst = ["o","t","t","f","f","o","o"]
counter = collections.Counter(lst)
counter
#Output:Counter({'o': 3, 't': 2, 'f': 2})
type(counter)
#Output:collections.Counter
返回值虽然显示类型是Counter,是dict的子类,主要用于计数。
counter.keys()
#Output:dict_keys(['o', 't', 'f'])
counter.values()
#Output:dict_values([3, 2, 2])
这里注意和dict不同的一点是,即使一个元素不在Counter里,也不会报错,返回值为0;而dict会报错。这就使得Counter在计数时候很方便。
counter['a']
# Output: 2
dic = {'o': 3, 't': 2, 'f': 2}
dic['a']
# Output: KeyError: 'a'
