Introduction
This guide is to configure Wireshark on ubuntu to catch UDP data.
step1.
Enter the code below in Terminal
$sudo apt update
$sudo apt-get install wireshark
step2.
You may choose <YES> if you want catch data without sudo
step3.
You have already completed the installation, open a new Terminal and enter the code below to run Wireshark.
$sudo wireshark
step4.
So far, you have been able to use Wireshark. But if you need to parse the UDP data, you also need to install the lua file,
Run the code below you can open a file manager with administrator privileges.
$sudo nautilus
step5.
Move lua file to usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gun/wireshark/plugins
Then restart the wireshark and you can parse the UDP data automatically.
