2.3 Definition of Terms

Terms and definitions shall be in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Appendix A and the MedAccred Program Documents or as specified herein:

AVL / ASL: Approved Vendor List / Approved Supplier List. A formal list of qualified suppliers that can be used for the procurement of materials and services.

CALIBRATION: As it relates to this checklist it is a validation of the tool / measuring equipment against a recognized industry standard. When using a “third party” source that source shall have accreditation to national or international standards such as ISO 17025.

CERTIFICATION: As it relates to this checklist, certification is an industry recognized (i.e. IPC) qualification that attests to a person’s ability meeting a standard.

CHARACTERISTIC: In this checklist it refers to a quality characteristic inherent in a product or process related to a requirement.
