to examine if the character is a single quotation mark, use ' \' '

 changing the string into lower cases, iterate the string and add lowercases into a new string using push_back();

put if statements into new seperated functions to avoid running into this

 'i' cannot be returned into the loop since functions cannot return multiple objects. so the situation determining should be included in these if statements
