1. download JDK6
windows: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/
Mac OS X: http://developer.apple.com/java/dowmload
linux: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk
2. download Eclipse 3.5
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads
3. download Android SDK
http://developer.android.com/sdk
Extract the files to a directory, such as E:\eclipse\
You will see the folder---android-sdk-windows.
Add tools catalog to PATH;
For Mac OS X and Linux, please edit the file .profile
command: export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/android-sdk-linux_x86/tools;$JAVA_HOME/bin
4. install ADT
We will use the tool Install New Software in Ecllipse
1) Choose Help->install New Software
2) Choose "Work With", Input http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse, press Enter;
3) Select parent node: Developer Tools; Click Next, Accept, at last Finish;
4) Reboot Eclipse
5) install SDK
Open Eclipse;
Choose: Window->Preference->Android; Set SDK Location
Click Apply, Then Click OK Exit the Preferences window
Then add the AVD;
Choose Window->Android SDK and AVD Manager->Available Packages
Choose: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml
then choose what you want to install
Click Install Selected.
It will be slow, please be patient!
