Description


CRS-2406 error from ctssd process is repeatedly dumped in the CRS alert.log 
file. For example:
 
 [ctssd(438368)]CRS-2406:The Cluster Time Synchronization Service timed out 
 on host ora11201. Details in /opt/11.2.0/grid/log/ora11201/ctssd/octssd.log.
 
Prior to this time, octssd.log shows NS 12535 ("TNS:operation timed out")
and NS 12606 ("TNS: Application timeout occurred") errors.

Workaround
 
Restart the ctssd using crsctl or manually kill the ctssd process.
