Sometime, on the even floors in some building, we have woman toilet and on the odd floor, we have man toilet.

 

For the intelligent disabilites, for the ladyman, for the drinker. For some special place or purpose. 

 

According to the recent investigation, the  situation of toilet icons in the province of HeNan is worse than those in the other provinces of china.Many of the icons have only chinese description wihout any icon and vice versa. Many of the icons have english description without chinese one and vice verse. Some of the icons have description without navigation. Some of them are too imaginative to perceive and make decision instantly. while others put the toilet symbols in the wrong place,e.g. on the door. The authorities of the goverment is too careless to take care of the illterate persons and the people who has disability in the eye, ear, or the body. The authorities have not enforce the regulation on the toilet in the public place such as pubs, hotel, dancing hall. For example, in these places, toilet icons should be luminous so that the people who can see the symbol with ease in the dark. 

 

In my opinion, if you can seek to understand the toilet symbol, then you can seek to understand the guidlines and principles of the design of user interface. gt;
