Panthers aiming to bring back Ted Ginn Jr., Charles Johnson

The Carolina Panthers Charles Johnson Jersey did a fine job in taking care of their own this past week, making defensive tackle Kawann Short about $13 million richer and re-signing defensive ends Mario Addison and Wes Horton. According to general manager Dave Gettleman, they’ll be looking to keep that continuity going.

Gettleman, while answering questions off the podium at the 2017 NFL scouting combine on Wednesday, told reporters the team will try to re-sign wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. and defensive end Charles Johnson.

“We want Ted back, it’s just a matter of getting there,” he said about the speedy wideout. “I don’t discuss negotiations, I don’t discuss contracts. Do we want Ted back? Yes. Contracts get done when they’re supposed to get done.”

Ginn, who returned to Carolina in 2015 following a one-year hiatus in Arizona, has led all Panthers wide receivers in receptions (98), yards (1,491) and touchdowns (14) over the last two seasons.

On Jan. 18, he signed on with Rosenhaus Sports, onehttp://www.officialvikingshop.com/shop-by-players-charles-johnson-jersey-c-2_43.html of the most popular representation groups amongst players in the NFL, becoming the third Panther to join the agency. Johnson, also backed by Rosenhaus, received the same loyalty from Gettleman.

“Just like we want Teddy back, we want Charles back,” he said.

Johnson, after being released shortly following the loss in Super Bowl 50, quickly signed back with Carolina on a one-year, $3 million deal. He played in 13 games this past season, totaling 26 combined tackles, 4.0 sacks and three forced fumbles in his 10th NFL campaign.
