The easy path is more tempting. The difficult path is more rewarding.

Learning something difficult, however, is beneficial in and of itself. The process is the prize. Struggling with code, while frustrating, is medicine for the mind.

I think frustration is underrated! If we were never frustrated, it means we are only doing stuff we are already good at.

One of the things that I like about programming is that it’s as difficult as you want it to be. If you only want to learn how to do something simple, then do that. If you grow bored and want to learn something new, there is so much out there to learn that you will never run out of opportunities to expand your knowledge.

I think we are sometimes too hard on ourselves for not progressing at a certain rate. We want to be good right away. But any forward momentum is positive. Even learning one, small thing is better than learning nothing at all.

Don’t quit! Struggling with coding is like taking your brain to the gym.
