As I am taking more and more work, I am getting busier and busier.
Today is the busiest day since I came to IBM.
I have got 5 tickets handled. Among these, 3 tickets were, in fact, the same and turned out
to be no action needed from us.
I can't understand why our customer raises such nonsense tickets over and over and never try
to get rid of the wasting workload.
When we receive such tickets, just needing a glance, we could identify what it is and just do
the same thing to it as to the old ones.
Though getting so busy, I still enjoy the day as I found I could deal with the work.
Everything never goes well like today since I joined this company.
On my way home, I talked with a veteran from our team who is going to have the last day in
IBM tomorrow. He told me that oncall is not as frightful as I though to be and peope would get
used to that after several sufferings.
And we have a common perspective that development job is better than the support job, for the former
has a brighter future and is more challenging. He had ever worked as a developer and now he would be
on the orginal track.
As to myself, I prefer developing to supporting because I think programming can give me the chance to
create things which, certainly, bring me joy all the time.
Perhaps, this time next year, I will also leave just as he did and choose a developer position to pursue
my career.
But now, the only thing I need to do is to learn more and more, building up myself with enough skills
and techniques to get myself ready for the next opportunity.
