1. Scope (Informative)
   The scope of the Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) architecture document is to define the architecture for the SUPL service
   enabler.
   A reference architecture is defined including:
   • Context model
   • Functional blocks
   • Logical entities
   • Reference points / Interfaces
   • Messages and message flows

In addition a number of deployment scenarios are considered including different roaming models as well as different
mapping of logical functions to architectural elements.
This architecture is based on the requirements listed for the system in the SUPL Requirements document [SUPL RD].
