It is not easy to read a Japanese development document. This afternoon I began to try reading a Japanese
development specification. The experience called up the time I began to reading a english technology document.
コンフィグ情報の読み込み、共有メモリの生成など、各スレッドが共通で使用するものの処理を行う。
What mean is the "ものの"? Is it a adjective or a noun? "コンフィグ" is the computer. But it just is
expressed using Japanese letters. In technology, there are so many word like that. Perhaps, Japanese think
that is fashionable or modern. Japanese characters derived from Chinese characters. However, if you think they
have same mean, you will embarrass yourself. For example, "手紙" means letter in Japanese, in Chinese its
literal explanation it say a napkin. Although napkin and letter both made from paper, the purpose of them
were discrepant. On some occasion, the mistake like that will result in a worse impression.
There is another example. "格納" is same to the "save" in english. From Chinese literal letter, it is
hardy to guess its correct mean. As matter of a fact, when I met the Japanese word, I almost think it say
a lattice.
