Cantor Set
Definition:
We dig out an interval with length ξ \xi ξ in the middle of [ 0 , 1 ] [0,1] [0,1].
And repeat such operation for intervals left.
Finally we get ξ − Cantor Set \xi-\text{Cantor Set} ξ−Cantor Set, noted C ξ C_\xi Cξ.
At first Cantor constructed this set with ξ = 1 3 \xi=\frac13 ξ=31.
Properties:
1, m ( C ξ ) = 0. m(C_\xi)=0. m(Cξ)=0.
Fat Cantor Set
Definition:
Likewise, we dig out an interval with length ξ 0 \xi_0 ξ0 in the middle of [ 0 , 1 ] [0,1] [0,1].
But the next time, we dig out intervals with length ξ 1 \xi_1 ξ1.
And repeat such operation for intervals left.
Finally we get Fat Cantor Set \text{Fat Cantor Set} Fat Cantor Set, noted C ^ \hat C C^.
