Section 1

1. 转述（cite）
   sb. (year) points out…
   … as sb. (year) explains.
   Analysis reveals … (sb. year).
2. 表示你知道作者的目的or观点
   sb.(year) questions … 质疑 （作者不同意sth.）
   sb.(year) contends … 主张 （提出了反对另一种观点的观点）
   sb.(year) concurs … 同意 （提出了一个支持论点的观点）
3. 表示你的观点
   sb.(year) states/confirms… (agree)
   sb.(year) claims/asserts… (中性neutral verbs 可用于disagree)

Section 2
Academic style

• 尽量避免使用some
• 被动语态不宜过多
• 谨慎用语，使用may，tends to…
• DO NOT USE idiomatic or colloquial vocabulary 不要用口语/习语
• 不要使用问句
• 不要使用缩写 如 don’t 要写成do not
• 事实、数字要精确；若需估计，使用approximately
• Turning to
• etc. / and so on 应该be specific，写成 xxxxxx, xxxxxxx and xxxx.
• Other than that 写成 Moreover/ In addition
