Zotero基础命令||概念||用法

• Overview

  From 《文献管理工具References Management Software》， Zotero is a good choice for free references management software.

  Of course, you can find anything you should know abot Zotero from its official website, but it’s heavy job with the unkind interface.

  The commands here is enough for common usage.

• 初级使用

  拖拽：add stored files

  Ctrl+Shift + 拖拽： add linked files

  ` : mark as unread/read for Feed

  拖拽item到不同collections，两边同时拥有；

  shift+拖拽item到不同collection，是移动；

  move item to Trash，会删除所有collections里的

  delete is equallel to remove item from collection

  长按ctrl + 左键 选择item，高亮查看其所在的所有collections

• Zotero item

  这是Zotero的一项核心功能。

  If Zotero can find a match for the PDF, it will create a full Zotero item with eht avaiable data and attach the PDF.

  If it can’t, it will leave the PDF as a standalone attachment, allowing you to add a parent item and drag the PDF onto it.

  The Retrieve Metadata feature uses a Zotero web service to find item metadata. The Zotero client sends the first few pages of text from the PDF to the web service, which uses a variety of extraction algorithms and known meta data from Crossref, paired with DOI and ISBN lookups, to build a parent item for the PDF.
