• Overview

  通过docker-compose up启动容器，出现下述warnning：

  WARNING: Found orphan containers (name1, name2) for this project. If you removed or renamed this service in your compose file, you can run this command with the --remove-orphans flag to clean it up.

• Analysis

  Docker compose uses the name of the directory as the project name by default.

  If you have two docker-compose-x.yaml files in the same directory, you often encounter this problem.

  From docker compose cli environment variables, The COMPOSE_PROJECT_NAME defaults to the basename of the project directory.

• Solution

  The general practice is to create two different folders, each folder has a docker compose file.

  Or:

  You can use -p or --project name to set a different project name.

  $ docker-compose -p name up -d
  

  或者在docker-compose.yaml中直接指定：

  environment:
    - COMPOSE_PROJECT_NAME=mysql-server
  

  但实际上上述在docker-compose.yaml指定参数的方案无效，具体原因未知，可能是我设置问题。
