A higher slope value indicates a steeper incline. 

The slope of a line is the ratio of rise over run, or the change in y vs. the change in x, so the magnitude of the slope, either positive or negative is a measure of "steepness" for the line.The larger the absolute value of the slope, the steeper the line will be.
