把句中的形容词或者形容词组提前

My mother was very annoyed and shouted at my little brother.

Very annoyed, my mother shouted at my little brother.

以分词短语作为文章的开头

I listened to the wonderful music and had dinner with my friend.

Listening to the wonderful music, I had dinner with my friend.

以同位语做句子开头的成分

The greatest scientist in the last century, Einstein was a very simple and modest man.

Einstein, the greatest scientist in the last century, was a very simple and modest man.

圆周句

把关键意思放在整句末尾,将次要的放在句首，也叫掉尾句。

大多情况下是把较长的状语提前,而把较短的主句放在最后.通常,从句在前,主句在句末。

Although he was interested in French, he never studied it.

When the term was over, the children went to seaside to spend their vacation.

短长句交替

增强句子表现力

避免使用语义弱的“be”动词

The tree s are bare. The grass is brown. The landscape seems cheerless.

The brown grass and bare trees form a cheerless landscape.

将句子表语中的形容词或名词变为行为动词

The team members are good players.

The team members play well.

The new plan is the encouragement of diligence.

The new plan encourages diligence.

在以“here”或“there”开头的句子中，“be”动词后的名词或代词变为主语。

There is no opportunity for promotion.

No opportunity for promotion exist.

Here are the books you ordered.

The books you ordered have arrived.

多用语义具体的动词，保持句意简洁明了

My supervisor went past my desk.

My supervisor walk slowly past my desk.

She is a careful shopper.

She compares price and quality.

He is a bad student.

Being a student, he often skips classes and performs poorly in the exams.

尽量运用主动语态

The organization has been supported by charity.

Charity has supported the organization.

累赘句

My little sister has a preference for chocolate milk.

My little sister prefers chocolate milk.

常见病句

不一致（主谓，数，师太，代词等的不一致）

When one have money, he can do what he want to.

When one has money, he can do what he wants (want to do).

悬垂修饰语

At the age of ten, my grandfather died.

When I was ten, my grandfather died.

To do well in college, good grades are essential.

To do well in college, a student needs good grades.

指代不清

累赘

含有it的结构

错误：As is known to all of us that……

It is known to us that……

As is known to us, ……
