       英语水平一直不好，在网上看到这篇文章，自己动手翻译一下。

Difference between Beijing and Silicon Valley on innovation

The fundamental difference between Beijing and Silicon Valley is not the sky color, but on one side the young people are talking about buying a new house,a new car and getting married, while on the other side young people are talking about how to change the world.

Now and then we can read from the newspaper or the Internet that a Silicon Valley company is valued over 1 billion US dollars. Also we can see many famous US IT randson the Internet such as Google, Facebook,Twitter, Amazon... People are still wondering about why companies are so creative. While in other places such as China, we cannot see world class IT companies. What makes the difference?

Are American people smarter than people in the rest of the world? Not exactly.

In China, people are becoming more and more anxious as they have to fight for a place to stay, a car to drive. They have high living pressures, they are now in a phase of pursuing material richness. They can not spare much time and don't want to spend time on thinking about something which are not easy to get implemented in a short period of time. They are more concerning about short term interest.

Also the innovation environment is also not healthy, people are not encouraged to innovate here, companies also don't want to get the risk of investing on innovating something that may fail. Companies don't want failures/ They are more willing to spend money on copying something from others since that is fast and cheap.

Move worse is startup are difficult to survive, investors are not willing to invest on some people they have no relation to because they cannot trust them.

The innovation policy is also not satisfying, the government doesn't have complete policies to protect innovation and they don't have the complete plan for converting innovation into products.

While in Silicon Valley, people are living in another society. People no need to worry about where to stay the next day or how much I should earn to get married. They can spend time on doing what they like to do. They have the freedom to choose what to learn.

The environment there is also appealing, companies usually are willing to invest on innovation, they have that kind of genes, they are proud of innovation. they are pleased to see what they create. Also they are not so anxious about the result, they are willing to do long term investment.

If you have an idea which is attractive enough, there are many people who are willing to invest on you. So it's easy for people to start their own business. Even if you fail, it doesn't matter. They don't want to fail, but they can accept failures.

China is still undergoing a high speed economic booming. Many people are still fighting for living a good life, In the future, when people are able to buying a house and having a car.. They may turn their attention to more spiritual. At that time, it should be the spring of China's innovation.

But one thing we cannot deny is that the innovation environment should be improved in China now.

           北京和硅谷最根本的差异不是天空的颜色，而是一个城市的年轻人在谈论买一栋新房子、一辆新车然后结婚，然而另一个城市的年轻人在讨论怎样改变世界。
        在报纸或因特网上我们时不时的可以看到一家价值十亿美元的硅谷公司，互联网上我们还可以看到很多出名的美国IT 企业，例如Google、Facebook、 Amazon……人们总会惊讶为何这些公司如此具有创造力。然而，在其他的地方，例如中国，我们看不到世界级的IT公司，是什么造成了这种差异？
        美国人比世界其他地域的人聪明？不完全是。
        在中国，人们变得越来越忧虑，因为他们必须为一处属于自己的住所、一辆车而奋斗，他们有很大的生活压力，他们处于追求物质富裕的阶段。他们不能抽出太多的时间，也不想花费精力在一些短期内不容易实施的事情上，他们更关注的是短期内的收益。
        此外，周边环境也不利于他们搞创新，在这里，人们不鼓励创新，公司也不愿意在可能会失败的创新上冒投资风险。公司不想失败，他们更倾向于在抄袭一些更快速、更便宜的方案上花费金钱。
        更糟糕的是创业公司难以生存，因为投资者不相信和他们没有亲友关系的人，所以不愿意在他们身上投资。
        创新政策也不令人满意，政府没有完善的政策保护创新，也没有完整的计划把创新思想转换到生产中。
        然而在硅谷，人们生活在另一个社会环境中，他们不需要去担心将来住在哪，或者是他们要为结婚赚多少钱，他们可以花更多的时间在他们喜欢做的事情上，他们可以自由的选择去学习什么。
        那里的环境也很吸引人，公司乐意在创新的事情上投资，他们有这样一种思想，他们为创新而自豪，更乐意看到自己创造了什么，并且他们不急于求成，更乐意做长期的投资。
        如果你的想法足够吸引人，会有很多人愿意为你投资，所以在那里人们创业是很简单的。即使你失败了，没关系，投资者非常渴望成功，但是他们可以接受失败。
       中国正处于经济蓬勃发展的阶段，很多人都在为了优越的生活条件而奋斗。将来，当人们可以买得起房子、买的起车的时候，他们可能会更多的去追求精神文明，那将会是中国创新时代的春天。
       但是我们不能否认，当今中国的创新环境是需要完善的。
