TCP port 443 is the standard TCP port that is used for website which use SSL. When you go to a website which uses the https at the beginning you are connecting to port 443.

When https:// is used as the prefix of a Web address rather than the common http://, the session is managed by a security protocol, which is typically SSL, and the transmission is encrypted to and from the Web server.
