Mafia's life

 

Atrracted by one post narrating about the author's mafia life. He is a pretty successful mafia - becoming the no.1 vallain of the biggest mafia org in SZ. Money, women, respect, power, influence, all these 'glorious' stuff a mafia could imagine, he own them already, w/o big hurt to his physical body. I am interested in how he made it. Here is my summary.

1. being bold is one of the critical factor.

The rule in mafia world is very simple: you got to be tougher than others, and, you got to have good enough luck not to get hurted or killed by someone who is desperate, for his respect, or for his relatives, or for his gf/wife. Actually, not many chinese dare to be desperate just to defend his honor, esp. in southern China. That's why the guy chopped others but no one chopped him back. Sure, he has to lose some freedom for security reason - till now it is very rare to snipe someone in China - the benefot of gun-banned society.

2. being smart in dealing with ppl.

This one is the fundamental one. Respect and interest are two things anyone is pursuing. Being in the society, you have to coordinate the two things of yours with that of others. A person who can do that better than others, he will get the most supports.

3. being professional in associate skills.

Such as fighting, shooting, secuirty, the org of mafia society.

After all, being a mafia is not a good life. You make your living out of others' inferior interests (gambling, whoring, drugging). You are actually the impedance of the motion of the society. Also your life gets isolated from the advanced mind of human being which means your life cannot bring some creativity to this world. Yes, that's a meaningless life.

How about myself? Hey, you lazy bone, after commenting on others' life, you should also be warned that your life should not be meaningless!
