Tween指哪个年龄段

最近发现英文对年龄的定义越来越细化了，这一趋势尤其体现在对20岁以前年轻人的定义方面。之前我们知道的如childhood、teen、adolescence等定义似乎都不能满足现在社会的需要了，于是有些比较难定义的阶段开始有了自己的名字，比如今天我们要说的tween。

“Tween”is a blend of teen and between. It refers to a child between middle childhood and adolescence, usually range from 10 to 12 years old. Tweens is generation of fashion-conscious, fad-loving, filled-with-attitude youth.

Tween是“teen”和“between”两个单词的合成词，指的是10到12岁，也就是儿童中期到青春期之前的年龄段。这个年龄段的孩子都关注时尚、喜欢时髦，个性鲜明。

Tweens in general, but especially tween boys can be a hard group to be pleased. They are too old for many toys, may not be interested in clothes or accessories, and may not even have hobbies.

总的来说，这个年龄段的孩子，尤其男孩子是很难取悦的。他们这个年龄，很多玩具都不玩了，不会对衣服和饰物感兴趣，甚至可能都没有什么爱好。
