Panoramic China    HAINAN: China's Island Paradise  reading notes

    Two weeks ago one of my friends told me that the book of Panoramic China    HAINAN: China's Island Paradise is a good one  to let me  know more about Hainan. And  at that time I have a spare time to do some  leisure reading ,so after  I  surfing  the internet  to see the comments  of this book, I borrow it from the Foreign Books in our library .

It  toke  me  a whole two weeks to finish it . Then I try to  begin writing the reading  notes. It mainly  introduces Boao Forum for Asia , Miss World Pageant in Sanya, the beautiful tropical scenery, aboriginals and their splendid culture ,and living in Hainan.

We know  Boao Forum for Asia was founded in Boao, Hainan on February 27,2001. BFA(Boao Forum for Asia)  is aim to provide a excellent chance for Asia to build a prosperous, stably, the harmony department and other parts of the world of peaceful coexistence with the new Asia. With the help of every sides ,now it has been developing one  of the most influential forum in China and Asia ,especially in the Southeast Asia. And from  April, 2004, the Boao Asia Forum Council members reached the consensus of opinion, from now on, the forum annual meeting will be held regularly in the every year April's third weekend. It  attracts many scholars and experts and statesmen from all over the world to participate in every year . We firmly believe that BFA will continue play an important role in rapid，healthy and stable development of Asia even the world.

Because of the unique attractive scenery ,the Miss World  Organization  brought the Miss World Pageant to  Sanya. We could  watch  many details to report  the pageant from the internet and other traditional media ,even now .This was  the first time the Miss World Pageant  was held in China. It provided a good chance to  let the world know more about Sanya.

The beautiful tropical scenery of Hainan are so attractive. That helps it to become the  most hot resort . I know Hainan from textbook about the End of the Earth and Corner of the Sea. Two tremendous stones ,one was carved "天涯"，the other was carved"海角".It's the symbol of Hainan, now there are a various of resorts .Such as the Big and Small cave heavens at Sanya, the South Mountain in Sanya,the Great East Sea at Sanya Wuzhi Mountain in Wuzhi city ,Boao town and so on .The series of tourist resorts are attracted of millions of people to go there in holidays. And with the development of the economic and the people's living standers are  improve, now more and more people from  world come to Sanya to enjoy their  beautiful views. What's more many international conferences are hold in Hainan ,and it will increase the international reputation of it .

 

  Li and  Miao Ethnic Minority are the most minority in Hainan . The Miao minority people’s ancestors moved onto the island during the Ming Dynasty and come from Hunan, Guizhou  and Guangxi provinces. They have their own  dialect but no written language .Their  food and clothes are also different from Han people . We  know that Li ethnic minority has a  history of  more than 3000 years, they are one of  the  Chiyou's descendants .The splendid of their culture are preserved now, most of them could saw in Li people  in Wuzhishan. According to the Austrian scholar Rober von Heine Geldern's study ,Li is the most early use clothing material in Southeast Asia. This is one of their splendid culture. Both of their  lifestyle and costume are very meaningful for us ,not only  that is a kinds  of culture but also a good primitive lifestyle, and there are a lot  of  academic value.

 

 

The Chinese  people have a deep-rooted attachment to their “homes ”,and are always happy to have a good house bought at a responsible price . To escape from the long and cold winter in the north ,some people with high incomes and a lot of leisure time have begin  to  buy houses on warm Hainan and to spend their holidays there. More than 60% of the commodity houses have been sold out to people from outside province ,70 percent of them in Sanya. Among the buyers there are 10 percent of them are foreigners .

Because of the fresh air and the elegant nature environment ,the houses in Hainan are attracted more and more people come to buy ,even settle down .The  Hainan foods are also delicious to most of the tourists ,such as the four famous cushions , Wenchang Chicken Jiaji Duck Hele Crab Dongshan Mutton. So travel to  Hainan  even settle to Hainan is a perfect choice.

All in all Hainan is  paradise-like place ,and can’t understand it just only read one book a,if I have the chance I will live here more time and travel here again and again .

This is the first time I read full English book ,and wrote full  reading notes. So I copy some sentence from the book ,and add some of my owe views .So it must have some wrong thing in that ,if you find them ,please tell me ! I believe that the errors  will become less gradually .
