生物活性：生物素（维生素 B7）是一种水溶性 B 族维生素，可作为人体五种羧化酶的辅酶，参与脂肪酸、异亮氨酸和缬氨酸的合成以及糖异生。生物素对于细胞生长、脂肪酸的产生以及脂肪和氨基酸的代谢是必需的[1][2][3]。

体外：生物素对乳腺癌 (T47D) 细胞的亲和力高于对正常乳腺上皮 (MCF-12A) 细胞的亲和力，Km 分别为 9.24 μM 和 53.1 μM[4].
生物素（0.09-100 μM；0-70 分钟）被 T47D 细胞以剂量依赖性方式摄取，Vmax 为 27.34 pmol/mg 蛋白质/分钟[4] .
生物素（1-1000 nM；24 小时）在恢复 7β-OHC (50 µM) 诱导的细胞死亡和降低细胞粘附方面发挥作用[5] .

体内：生物素（15 毫克/千克/天；口服；12 天）改善链脲佐菌素诱导的（150 毫克/千克；腹腔注射）糖尿病小鼠的肾毒性[6]。
生物素（0.012 毫克/ kg/d; po; 70 d) 剂量不足对鱼头肾、脾脏和皮肤免疫功能的影响[7].
