Workflow

1. use tmux to create a new tmux window
2. use Ctrl+b c to create a new session
3. use Ctrl+b , to rename session
4. use Ctrl+d to exit session or finally window
5. use Ctrl+b d to detach window
6. use tmux a to attach remaining window

Tutorial

1. create a new pain

   • Ctrl+b % : create a split pain
     • Ctrl+b ← : switch to left pain
     • Ctrl+b → : switch to right pain
   • Ctrl+b " : create a vertical pain
   • exit : use exit to close the pain

2. create a new window

   • Ctrl+b c : create a new window
     • Ctrl+b {number} : switch to the {number} window
     • Ctrl+b , : rename the window
   • exit : close the window
   • Ctrl+b d : detach from tmux

3. session

   • tmux ls : show the working tmux
     • tmux rename-session -t {name} {new name} : rename exiting tmux session into new name
   • tmux attach -t {name} : attach tmux session (-t means target)
   • tmux new -s {name} : create new tmux with name
   • tmux kill-session -t {name} : kill tmux session with name

4. overview

   • Ctrl+b w : show the overview of the current window
