FS8611S I2C Controlled USB PD IC

OVERVIEW

FS8611S is a flexible I2C controlled USB PD(Power delivery) slave IC. User can easily change the PDO, Power information etc. for PD communication whether statically or frequently through I2C without any PD protocol knowledge.
FS8611S can easily be powered by a resistor connected to VBUS or by another LDO chip shared with MCU.
Besides USB PD protocol, the chip can support almost all type of smart phone fast charge protocols.

APPLICATIONS

FS8611S can be used like below circuit. FB is work for control Power System to deliver voltage based on connected device requirement. SCL/SDA connect with MCU using I2C protocol. DP/DM/CC1/CC2 connect to Type-C receptacle.

MCU can:

• Change PD PDO and delivery power capability.
• Enable and disable protocols.
• Set FB directly.
• Read fast charge status.

It can be used for:
Solar power system, Power bank, etc.
