Hi my name is Fred. I'm now a graduate student major in Computer Science at University of Toronto. I spend half an year in Pittsburgh as an graduate student major in Information System at Carnegie Mellon which provide an initial insight in CS and I decide to delve into this field ever since.
I was working as an analyst in Accenture and then become a Data Manager in a start-up called Joudou. I was working on my own product for Companies' merge and acquisition[page]. We tried to visualize the most complicated financial event as a very simple animation. In the meantime, we provide brief charts for investors to analyze companies' PE, PB, Net Income, etc. I scrape data from Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchange market by using BeautifulSoup.
I am currently quite interested in Machine Learning and Nature Language Processing. I'd love to share my ideas and learn new stuff with you folks. Hit me under any blogs or shoot me emailzqiu@cs.toronto.edu.
I am also a maniac for FINANCE! I founded a private equity when I was a sophomore in college. That was a structured fund which loan money from A-level fund and add leverage on B-level fund. My best score reaches 150% in 2015. I was focusing on China's stock market and I'm searching my path for investing on international companies now.
I am also a sport man. I was on University basketball team for two year and participated in CUBA basketball league. Soccer and other group ball-game are also my love. I played trumpet for three years but I guess I don't have much talent in music.
