该题的整体难度不大，由于题干中限定范围为paragraphs C and D, 整体定位显得非常容易，大部分学生在回答Q33-39都得心应手，但对于Q40答错者居多。究其原因，还是对于原文的综合理解能力比较薄弱和审题不够仔细造成的。

该题的整体定位在原文D段的第二部分，许多同学误将该部分的首句:

Provisions available in local shops have to be flown into Nunavut on one of the most
costly air network in the world, or brought by supply ship during the few ice-free weeks of summer.
其中的provision认为是答案，从而产生了误判。一些同学看到文中出现了costly, 就藉此做出答案，而该答案貌似亦符合前后文的内容，所以一些同学虽然错了却毫不察觉。问题出在题目中提到是particularly expensive, 而provision 实际上是包括所有的生活供给品的，而题目中particularly的语气显然是指某具体的东西，这使得前后语气不相吻合，所以一个阅读融会贯通，体会作者语气的读者是不会认为该处应该填provision的。

朗阁海外考试研究中心分析认为，另一个原因则是阅读积累欠缺，把握大意的能力薄弱造成的。段落中提及了两部分，也就是该部分的2个句子。首句虽提到了Provision 的costly的特点，但第二句话: It would cost a family £7000 a year to replace meat they obtained themselves through
hunting with imported meat. 提到了年消费的具体数目，显然是在强调，具体内容是imported meat, 可知答案是imported.
