MTK 11B MMI UE specification for Bluetooth

 FTP  File Transfer Profile       Used to exchange file between Bluetooth devices.  Based on SIG spec. See ICS for detail.
HFP Handsfree Profile          Used to transfer audio data and remote control mobile phone.  Based on SIG spec. See ICS for detail.
HSP Headset Profile     Used to transfer audio data and control voice call procedure.  Based on SIG spec. See ICS for detail.
OPP  Object Push Profile   Used to exchange object between Bluetooth devices.   Based on SIG spec. See ICS for detail.
DUN  Dial-Up Networking Profile    Used to connect to network server via Bluetooth devices. Based on SIG spec, see ICS for detail.

BPP        Basic Printing Profile               Used to send text, e-mails, vCards, or other items to printers

 

1.  While BT is ON, if the flight mode is turned on, the Bluetooth shall be automatically turned OFF.Before turning BT on, while in flight mode, ask user confirmation popup.

2.when there is connection, ask user to release it before power off.If __MMI_BT_AUTO_RELEASE_CONNECTION__ is not open, will only show a popup to notify user.

3.User can turn on or turn off the visibility. If the visibility is ON, it means that other devices can find it, and do pairing process. Otherwise, the device can not  be discovered by remote device.

 If A2DP is connected, and the visibility is set to Off, if we change the visibility, it will popup “Prohibited by Advanced audio “.

4.If __MMI_BT_DISCOVERABLE_DURATION__ is open. User can turn on or turn off the visibility. If the visibility is ON, it means that other devices can find it, and do pairing process. Otherwise, the device can not  be discovered by remote device.

If A2DP is connected, and the visibility is set to Off, if we change the visibility, it will popup “Prohibited by Advanced audio “.

If visibility set as “Temporary visible”, after BT power off, it will set as “Off” automatically.

5.When user wants to add some device into the paired device list, he needs to search the device around, and then start a pairing process. After the pairing succeeds, the device will be added into the paired device list.

A) if find a device then display on screen in real-time, and keep going on. In this time, searching animation displaying continually.
B) While device searching, search cancel is available.
C) Device icons are PC/Headset/Phone/Printer/Others.

 It is possible that just search specific type of devices based on   different procedure.
Ex. Search audio device will just filter audio device out in the discovered devices, and the searching screen’s title is “ Search audio device”

A) Once select in discovered device screen, ask passcode input to user for pairing. Device name shall be displayer on a passcode input screen.
B) After entering a passcode, wait for reply.
C) After pairing, if the result is fail, go back to searched device list.
D) If the pairing result is success, add a confirm screen for user to set authorized device.
E) If there are already 10 devices in my device list, the phone will not pair successfully, and it will popup “Can not pair more devices, delete some device
first?”

Whether pairing procedure will be triggered depends on the security mode of local and remote device.
* This procedure might happen in anytime except that current scenario forbid it.

6.User can add new device by “Search new device” in My device menu, and start a pairing process. My device also contain paired device list, user can connect to these devices, check the device properties, remove the devices, and other operations.Paired device list provides device type, device name, current connection status.

User can connect to the device after it is added into the paired device list. User can also manage the device list from my device list.
