1 . Measures of Centrality

e.g degree: The dgree of a vertix is the number of edges attched to it.

in-degree and out-degree : the number of edges point inwards and outwards to the vertix

"hubs" : vertix with unuausal high degree

2 . small world effect

geodesic distance: the minimum number of edges one would have to traverse in order to get from one vertix to another 

3 .  clusters or subcommunity

 tightly kint  groups of vertixs
