【E】【51】【leetcode题解】Rectangle Area

Find the total area covered by two rectilinear rectangles in a 2D plane.

Each rectangle is defined by its bottom left corner and top right corner as shown in the figure.

Assume that the total area is never beyond the maximum possible value of int.

本来是想分各种情况分别讨论的，可这样一来是在情况太多，想到的就有十种，左上左下，有上有下，上下左右，以及全包围。

所以用了这种计算重叠面积的方法

class Solution(object):
    def computeArea(self, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H):
        #s = 0
        s1 = (C - A)*(D - B)
        s2 = (G - E)*(H - F)

        s = s1 + s2
        #print s

        left = max(A,E)
        top = min(H,D)
        right = min(G,C)
        bottom = max(F,B)

        if top > bottom and right > left:
            s -= (top - bottom)*(right - left)
        return s
