1、蜂窝系统中两个需要解决的问题，multiple access和interference management

2、multiple access：how the overall resource of the system is shared by the uses in the same cell

3、interfence management：the interfence caused by simultaneous signal transmisstions in different cells

4、universal frequency reuse: the same spectrum is used in every cell

5、Narrowband cellular system: inefficient use of total bandwidth, complexitity of network planning,

      Frequency planning is complex, particulary when new cells have to be added

6、Wideband system: CDMA

      Universal frequency reuse, users in call cells get the full bandwidth or degrees of freedom of the system
