The main files:

1.Control file: the core file that controls the database instance and it's service. It's path can be got by "v$controlfile";

2.Redo Loger file:It's path can be got by "v$logfile";

3.Data file:the file that represents the tables' spaces. It's patht can be got by "v$datafile" and "v$tablespace";

4.Core configuration file:It's path can be got by  "SHOW PARAMETER pfile";

The first 3  files are the files of the database instance. But the 4th file,"pfile.ORA" is the starting configuration file of the ORACLE database software.

In the real enterprise's environment, in order to get the better speed, DAB will save the DB file to different disks. We will need to check the DB files path by those previous COMMAND.

Steps:

1.Use the super administrator to login: COMM sys/change_on_install as SYSDBA;

2.Search all the pathes of the control files(.CTL) : select * from v$controlfile;

3.Search all the pathes of the REDO LOG files(.LOG) : select * from v$logfile;

4.Search all the pathes of the TABLES' SPACES files(.DBF) : select * from v$tablespace; select * from v$datafile;

5.Search all the pathes of the "pfile" files(.ORA) : SHOW PARAMETER PFILE;

6.TURN OFF the database's instance : SHUTDOWN IMMEDIAT

7.COPY or Backup all the previous files;

8.Start the database instance to be ready to use: START UP;
