When it comes to the issue which is a better way to accomplish a creative work, people's opinion differs from person to person and culture to culture. Some argue when they keep quite without interruptions by others, they are more likely to come up with really fascinating novel ideas. While others enjoy the brainstorm keeping discussion with others constantly. As far as I am concerned, the latter one is better.

 

Firstly, when talking with various kinds of people, more created ideas would be figured out. Last semester, I participated in a programming design contest with other 2 people. At the very beginning, we just finished very naive tasks. But when we began to face some very novel questions, none of us simply didn't have a pretty clear clue on how to handle them. So, I began to whisper with little confidence “Maybe we can try the binary search at first. Then, we just see what will happen.” Follow this try, other two people gradually gave some other possible solutions. Gradually, we eventually created a very fantastic procedure which addressed the problems with dramatic efficiency. Had we just kept trying to solution that creative tasks individually, none of us would finally figure out a feasible solution and would lose the contest in the end. It was just the cooperation with others that we came up with the solution to handle creative problems at last.

 

Secondly, more people have more experience and knowledge. People themselves may lack some indispensable knowledge when it comes to fix specific problems related with distinct subjects. Alexander Fleming did discover penicillium, but he really lacked some crucial knowledge on how to make mass production and total synthesis. Had only Fleming tried and experimented on how to extract the drug and searched for medical applications, it would take more decades before Penicillium played a leading role in saving people’s lives. It was just after the collaborations and communications in research between different teams from various countries that gradually made the creative task of making the penicillin available for public use and creating new forms of penicillin possible.

 

Third, the drawbacks are not convincing while teamwork do facilitate creative tasks. Admittedly, some people may actually be interrupted by others’ noisy and meaningless gossip. As a result, they don’t come up with some really inspiring solutions. However, these people may choice some people with perfect self-discipline who seldomly get off the point. Or just find some people who are similar with themselves to avoid the bothering. Additionally, after carefully selection partners, they may not only avoid the frustrated talking from others, they may also gain some encouragement when they begin to have some necessary idea exchanges. And this encouragement may finally be proved to be invaluable when someone tries to come up a solution but fails again and again.

 

To sum up, working together is a wiser and better choice when it comes to finish a creative task, because people would be equipped with more valuable ideas and knowledge. Additionally, they can also avoid the drawbacks of teamwork and gain encouragement.
