题目主要是要求我们探讨一下经济发展和其他发展的重要性的关系，我的观点是经济发展固然重要，其他的发展也同样重要。我列举了我国改革开放优先发展经济给人带来的益处的举措，然后新时期不能保守的只发展经济，其他因素的发展也同样影响着经济的发展，其他的发展，如教育，环保，等也一定程度上左右着一个国家经济的进一步提高，处理好它们之间的关系的政府才是一个好政府，国家才算是真正的发展。

Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

My writing

In today’s world, many governments think that economic progress is the most important goal, including my country. To begin with, I have to admit that economic progress is very important, and other types of progress are important as well, the country can’t keep prosperous without other types of progress.

Forty years ago, my country was deeply into poverty, the citizens and the farmers even didn’t get enough food, let alone having cars or good living conditions, so the government changed its conservative strategies, and motivated all people to develop economy. It was since then that my country was open to the world and achieved considerable progress. We should still thank the government’s wise measures, because most people have their own houses and we no longer suffer terrible hunger, furthermore, we can afford to travel places of interest.

But we should make changes according to the changeable world, developing economy is essentially necessary. However, there are many problems occurring nowadays, such as various kinds of pollution, irrational structures of the city, violence, diseases and so on. When the development of the economy comes to a new stage, we should pay part of our attention to other types of progress, sometimes, people are rich but lack of cultural belief, they usually tend to be selfish and disgusting, so the government should take measures to protect our traditional virtues. What’s more, most people were not well educated 40 years ago due to a series of reasons., but the government can promote the development of education, the higher education the people get, the better the society is. Furthermore, the pollution, the violence, the diseases can prevent the further development of economy in some cases, so dealing with the relationship among these problems is another way of developing economy.

A strong nation or country can’t only depend on economy, the governments should take many aspects into consideration, varies types of progress are the real progress of the county.
