微博是博客的一种，相比于传统博客，微博在内容上要少得多。
A microblog is a form of blog, which differs from a traditional blog in that its content is much smaller.

自从2010年以来，微博已经在年轻人中盛行起来，微博用户经常通过微博发表诸如“我在这里”或者“我身边发生了什么事”之类的话题。
It has become popular among young people since 2010 and users often post topics ranging from “where I am now” to “what happens around me now”.

Microblogs provides users with a brand-new and convenient way of communication.

能够缩短信息的传播时间，其时效性甚至超过了传统的互联网媒体。
It shortens the time of information transmission and sometimes it is faster than traditional internet media.

比如，去年发生的7.23高铁事件，最早的信息就是从新浪微博上发布的。
For example, the “7.23 high speed railway accident” was first known on Sina Weibo, the most popular microblog in China.

从这个角度讲，微博确实以其无与伦比的便携性，为我们提供了方便。
Therefore, microblogging is really convenient.

但与此同时，微博造成的信息阅读快餐化、碎片化现象，也不得不引起我们重视。
However, we should also pay attention to the so-called information fragments which are produced by microblogging.
