The generalized module using Matlab/ Simulink , can be representative of photovoltaic array for easy use on simulation platform. Variable dynamic simulation method is used , which can rapidly obtain the output characteristic curves of photovoltaic array with different temperature and insolation levels. The module is demonstrated by the simulation experiments , and the results show that the module can not only get output characteristic curves of photovoltaic cell and array , but also has higher precision and more generalization compared with the similar module.
