Abstract:Under different ratios of H2O to SiO2, small crystalline ZSM-5 zeolites with different crystal sizes were synthesized by hydrothermal method with TPA+ as the template, aluminium sulphate as aluminium source, and silica sol as silica source. The synthesized ZSM-5 zeolites were characterized by XRD and SEM, and their performances for the catalytic cracking of iso-butane were evaluated in the fixed bed micro-reactor. The results showed that the synthesized samples were small crystalline ZSM-5 zeolites with high cryatallinity. For the catalytic cracking of iso-butane, the synthesized zeolites demonstrated high catalytic activity. At the temperature of 550℃, the highest yield of ethylene plus propylene was 51.4% on the HZSM-5 sample with the synthesis ratio of H2O to SiO2 28.
