Opening Position: Trading Systems Developer

Pythagoras has an opening for a trading systems developer to join the team and contribute to designing and building new trading systems.

Pythagoras is a quantitative hedge fund trading in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. We are a family-style remote team of 9 quant traders, programmers, money and risk managers located in USA, Hong Kong, and Singapore. We have 5.5 year track record of strong returns to our investors, and are led by our founder and Portfolio Manager who has 25 years of track record in operating quant funds.

Job Description

You will work together with the CTO and our quant traders to design and build trading systems and infrastructure to interpret market data, make trading decisions, and execute transactions 24/7.

We are looking for candidates to join us:

• Degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering from a top university
• Experience working on the design and development of complex systems, not necessarily trading related
• Proficiency in C++, Python, Rust is preferred
• High functioning teamwork and communication skills as we are a remote team
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills

Preference given to candidates who have:

-Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and optimization
-Familiarity in any of the areas of: parallel programs, high performance compute, networking, computer architecture
-Experience implementing trading engines that support 24/7 trading
-Experience building or supporting high-performance, reliable, mission-critical systems.
-Mandarin proficiency

Compensation includes a base or draw plus a bonus based on performance. The job would be based in Singapore or work remotely in the same time zone (Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, etc.) when the candidate is able to work independently.
