Acknowledgements致谢词，顾名思义是为了感谢那些在研究和写作过程中为你提供帮助和支持人，一般在标题页和摘要之后，通常不超过一页。致谢词不需要太过正式的写作风格，因为它是论文里唯一一块不涉及学术的内容，所以可以使用第一人称代词来使Acknowledgements显得更加通俗和个性 。

首先，明确你要感谢的人是谁。
一般有两类人需要感谢，专业上的的和生活上的。一些学校只允许学生感谢那些对对学术有直接帮助的人，比如你的导师或其他学术相关的教授等等。所以，请一定要记得确认你的dissertation guidelines或者university guidelines。也千万不要以为导师们或者审核论文的人们不会看Acknowledgements，如果违反了规定，他们是肯定会发现并且会造成印象分降低的。

其次，尽管没有明确的规定，致谢词也会有比较明确的感谢顺序。
感谢顺序一般如下：funders（赞助者）、supervisors（导师）、other academics（其他学术相关的人）、colleagues（同事）、family and friends（家人和朋友）

通常来说呢，supervisors或者other academics是跟你这个research直接相关的人。但是假如在这个research之前，也有导师给给过你帮助，进而间接促成了这个research的发起和完成，你也可以在Acknowledgements中表示哦。

editors/proofreaders (a requirement at some universities) 编校员

research participants (e.g. people who completed a survey to help you gather data) 参与了研究的人，比如帮助你收集了数据。
需要注意的是，在提到感谢人的时候，一定要写完整他的名字和title。如果是一个组织或者小组，只需提到他们的组名即可。如果因为隐私问题无法写完整名字，可以只写他的first name 那么或者用interviewees代替。

对于生活中的感谢，不需要提及对每一个家庭成员或者朋友的感谢，且通常是放在致谢的最后。

最后，致谢词的结尾不需要有summary或者conclusion，向最后一位致谢人致谢就可以直接结束了。

“I would like to thank……”是最常用的开头，然后再进行一些细节的描述。

Acknowledgments所列内容通常包括两个主要部分：个人或机构给予作者的援助，以及支持论文项目的资金来源。

通过以上实例可以看出，Acknowledgments部分感谢主要是个人或机构在完成本文的帮助和贡献，可以是有形的，也可以是无形的。有形的可以包括提供标本、检测试剂、材料、仪器、设备、绘图、数据或相关实验材料；无形的可以包括提供有益的启发、建议、 指导、审阅，研究设计和技术指导，结果分析及讨论，承担辅助性工作，协调实验工作等等。
