Good morning/afternoon, dear professors. It’s my great honor to be here for this interview. My name is xxx. I come from xxx city, xxx province, which is known for the porcelain. I major in Computer Science and Technology at xxx University.
I am a very hard-working person with great patience and perseverance. In the first two years of college, I had a passion for learning and programming. Although I often made mistakes in the code I wrote, I always analyzed and solved problems carefully. I have been preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination since my junior year and have been studying in the library every day. In college, the most impressive thing was my junior year when I dedicated myself to preparing for postgraduate entrance exams. I have been studying in the library every day.

Introduce a book you like

“Operating Systems: Three Easy Pieces” is a popular textbook. It explains complex OS ideas simply, dividing the topic into three basics: Virtualization , Concurrency , and Persistence.
Writers use simple words, examples, and pictures. They help readers understand how OSes work, give out memory, save data, and keep things secure. There are practice codes and real-life stories to learn from.
OS:TEP is special because it’s open-source and easy to understand. Both students and coders find it very useful.

Talk about why to take postgraduate examination

During the past four years, through studying professional skills and professional knowledge, and reading relevant books, I gradually find myself obsessed with the charm of this major. And I
would like to make some contributions in the field, and at the same time I realized what I’ve
learned is far from the target, and I think it is necessary to continue my study in this field. So I
choose to go further to achieve my master’s degree.

First of all，Classmates can help with schoolwork, college life, or problems friends understand. Family gives strong support for personal feelings, emotional troubles, or family matters.

Why did you choose to apply to our school?

As for my choice of university, I should say love this university very much.
This school enjoys an excellent academic atmosphere and college environment.
I believe that under the guidance of professional teachers in this university，I can broaden my horizons and acquire new knowledge.
so Wuhan University of Science and Technology is the best choice for me.

I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done.
I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out just as l’d planned.
For example, I particularly like to make plans for my study and life, and I can try my best to complete them.

I’m such a perfectionist that I will not stop until a job is well done. There are many times the
uncomfortable situation will appear in cooperation with the classmates. But since I realized that I
have this problem, I have begun to correct myself, and I have been able to communicate and
coordinate with others, improve work efficiency.

Well, speaking of hobbies, running is my favorite.It is probably the most simple way to do exercises, yet it is also a productive and healthy way of life.
When I`m running, my whole body is moving and my brain is relaxing from intense learning.
I benefit a lot from sticking to the habit of running.
It makes me more confident and disciplined both in study and in life.
If I am lucky enough to be admitted, I will stick to my habit of running, because I like the playground here very much. Thank you！

If I am lucky enough to be a postgraduate student in this university，I will study harder，be strict with myself and improve my abilities in all aspects.
Specifically，in the first year，I will try my best to master all courses to make up for the lack of professional knowledge. And I will go through all kinds of literature to make a solid foundation for my dissertation.
In the second year，I will work hard to study and achieve results in the supervisor’s laboratory

if i failed the retest，I will not immerse myself into the pain of failure，i will reflect on what problems i have and try to find solutions.

Secondly, I can make friends with excellent teachers and classmates. Through a long period of time to study with them ， I hold the belief that my professional ability can be greatly improved.
Thirdly，with the improvement of my personal ability，I can have more choices and opportunities in job hunting and be more qualified for the job that I desire to have.
All in all，postgraduate education can bring me a lot in many aspects.

In my opinion，postgraduate students are supposed to have the following qualities:
First of all， diligence and willpower **are vital for **a postgraduate students ， who has to meet a lot of challenges during these two or three years.
Furthermore，a qualified postgraduate should have a great passion for his major. Someone who really loves the major is willing to spend most of his time and energy on it.
Last but not least，a postgraduate should have the awareness and ability to combine theory and practice.Only when a postgraduate can put theoretical knowledge into practice can he really contribute to our society.

除了已知的操作系统知识之外，我学到了以下几个比较有意思的知识点：

1. 内核空间： 放置操作系统相关的代码和数据。（用户不能直接进行操作 ------ 可以通过调用系统提供的 api 函数）；栈又叫堆栈，非静态局部变量/函数参数/返回值等等，栈是向下增长的；堆用于程序运行时动态内存分配，堆是可以上增长的；数据/代码段–可执行的数据/代码/只读常量。
2. malloc 需要分配空间的大小，free不需要。因为指针上方会有一小块空间存储这块空间分配的大小。早期的C++的编译器中的分配器allocator，new和delete就是使用的malloc和free。这使得分配内存会有额外的消耗。
3. 关于进程api，分离fork()及exec()的做法在构建UNIX shell 的时候非常有用，因为这给了shell 在fork 之后exec 之前运行代码的机会，这些代码可以允许运行新程序前改变环境，从而让一系列有趣的功能很容易实现。UNIX 管道也是用类似的方式实现的，但用的是pipe()系统调用。

There are four people in my family, my father, my mother, my brother and I. My brother is work and I am in school, and my parents bothes have stable jobs. They have done a lot for the family. They taught me the truth of life and supported my decision in many things, including taking the postgraduate entrance exam. So I feel very lucky. So I will repay them through my efforts in the future.
