In many places, children attend primary school at the age of six or seven. However, it is more likely now that both parents work, so there is little possibility for children to stay in their own home up to that age. Instead, they will probably be sent to nursery school when they are much younger. While some people think this may cause damage to children’s relationship with their parents, there are many advantages to attending school at a young age.
Children are curious about the world around them. Attending school from a young age will broaden their horizons, with which they could understand the world more comprehensively. Another advantage is that children could develop their independence earlier through their school life. For example, many parents send their children to boarding school, which means the children have to make their own decision and live by their own to some extent, as a result they are more confident and independent than other kids who stay at home with parents and who are not used to strangers or new situations. Moreover, children could improve their interpersonal skills earlier. They could learn to interact with different people, and some children learn to communicate very early. Through playing with other kids, many children make friends and learn how to get along with other kids.
Overall, I believe that, attending school from a young age is good for most children. They still spend plenty of time at home with their parents, so they can benefit from both environments.
