In this ever competitive world, more and more parents pay attention to their children’s free time. Despite that many parents think it is important to add some study session after school, I’m in high of the possibility that children should enjoy their free time as much as they like.

 

Some people believe that children could take advantage of their free time through doing more school work. In this rapidly changing world, they think it’s important for children to lay a solid foundation of knowledge to keep up with the Joneses, with which they can seize more opportunities of further education and future career. Therefore children should make the best use of their time during their school days.

 

However, I believe it isn’t a waste of time for children to enjoy their free time. It can’t be denied that leisure activities are of great benefit to children’s comprehensive development. Firstly, children could develop or maintain their fitness through physical exercise. Besides, they could learn the concept of loss and win from sports competition, which is also the basic rule of social life. Moreover, through playing with other kids, children could learn how to get along with other kids and how to deal with unexpected accident. There is a case in point that some children become more independent and confident than other kids who spend their free time studying at home after school. Without the development of interpersonal skills, children will grow into immature adults without responsibility.

 

In conclusion, I believe it’s necessary for children to enjoy their free time after school as well as to study.
