what is programming?

今天，在gamedev.net看到一篇文章，标题是The Programming Primer。

其中有一个段文字讲什么是编程，让我深有感触。

you will always hit something that you don't know how to do (off the top of your head) and that is normal, what makes you a programmer is the ability to take the challenge in front of you, break it down to the fundamental components and figure out how to arrange those fundamental components in such a way that it efficiently solves the challenge.  Never get discouraged when you don't know how to do something, it's just part of our field.  Never get upset when something you do doesn't work, learn why it didn't work and find a better way to do it.  That is programming.

你将会总是遇到你不知道怎么做的东西（超出你的能力范围），那是很正常的，让你成为一个程序员的是接受眼前的挑战的能力，把它分解成基本的部分并且指出以何种形式组织这些基础的部分，以高效的解决挑战。当你不知道如何做某件事的时候从不放弃，那只是我们领域的一部分。当你做的某件事情不工作从不心烦意乱，了解为什么它不工作并且找到更好的方式去完成它。这就是编程。

这句话让我非常的有感触，从开始学习编程到现在，马上要一年了（后悔觉悟晚啊）。其间遇到了各种各样的问题，深感programming这行业真的是要多难有多难，不具备解决问题的能力很难面对繁杂的编程任务。

其实，所谓的程序员，正是面对着各种各样的挑战仍不放弃，并孜孜不倦的追求问题的解决方法的人们。
