The goal of this project is to work towards an implementation of the OpenGL ® ES 1.0 API for mobile devices. The initial target platform will be Pocket PCs (PocketPC) using the Intel XScale PA2xx processor. A key component of this effort is to provide a runtime compilation infrastructure that creates optimized rasterizer code for the current graphics context settings using an embedded JIT compiler. This runtime compilation approach distinguishes the current project significantly from all other similar open source projects I am aware of.

TinyGL is intended to be a very small implementation of a subset of OpenGL * for embedded systems or games. It is a software only implementation. Only the main OpenGL calls are implemented.

DOGLESS (alpha version) is an open source realtime OpenGL to OpenGL ES translator which includes profiling capabilities to aid developers in porting games and applications to future mobile devices. It works on unmodified OpenGL binaries, translating OpenGL calls "on-the-fly" into OpenGL ES and forwarding them to the underlying OpenGL ES implementation. It can also wrap the standard OpenGL implementation simulating the OpenGL ES subset. Tested also on Quake and Quake2 unmodified executables.

嗯,这个不是纯软件模拟OGLES,而是一个OGLES2OGL的translator。
利用它可以方便的在X86结构的机器上调试OGLES。
