1、元数据信息被存储在Mysql数据库中

2、Mysql数据库与Hive运行不在同一台物理机器上

三 步骤

1、在Linux的Mysql数据库中创建数据库hiva

[root@localhost conf]# mysql -uroot -pwaDY201705!

mysql> create database hive
mysql> show database;
ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'database' at line 1
mysql> show databases;

2、解压安装包

[root@localhost ~]# tar -zxvf apache-hive-0.13.0-bin.tar.gz 
[root@localhost apache-hive-0.13.0-bin]# ls
bin  conf  examples  hcatalog  lib  LICENSE  NOTICE  README.txt  RELEASE_NOTES.txt  scripts
[root@localhost bin]# ls
beeline  ext  hive  hive-config.sh  hiveserver2  metatool  schematool

3、上传mysql驱动的jar包到/root/apache-hive-0.13.0-bin/lib

[root@localhost lib]# ll mysql-connector-java-5.1.30-bin.jar 
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 954041 Aug 22 21:24 mysql-connector-java-5.1.30-bin.jar

开启mysql的远程连接

4、修改配置文件hive-site.xml

配置方法如下：

[root@localhost conf]# vi hive-site.xml

5、确保Hadoop运行正常

[root@localhost conf]# jps
5676 SecondaryNameNode
5286 NameNode
5792 JobTracker
6061 Jps
5444 DataNode
5957 TaskTracker

6、运行

[root@localhost ~]# hive
Logging initialized using configuration in jar:file:/root/apache-hive-0.13.0-bin/lib/hive-common-0.13.0.jar!/hive-log4j.properties
hive> 

7、验证

mysql> use hive;
Reading table information for completion of table and column names
You can turn off this feature to get a quicker startup with -A
