install HDF5:



sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install build-essential
sudo apt-get build-dep hdf5

mkdir ~/Software
cd ~/Software
wget https://support.hdfgroup.org/ftp/HDF5/releases/hdf5-1.8/hdf5-1.8.10/src/hdf5-1.8.10.tar.gz
tar -xf hdf5-1.8.10.tar.gz
cd hdf5-1.8.10/
./configure
make -j9
sudo make install
